ABOUT HALLI
Halli Gibson received her BFA from Southern Oregon University training under Scott Kaiser, James Donlon, and Jackie Apodaca. She has been fortunate to also receive training under esteemed actors including Christine Albright-Tufts and John Toppo. Halli's educational focuses surrounded Shakespeare, movement/devised theatre, and Meisner technique.
In 2016 Halli was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder 1 and was forced to take a leave from the stage to focus on her health. During this time she found a love for teaching, devoting several years to working in title 1 schools teaching Shakespeare, theatre, music, and English Language Arts. She found utilizing her acting skills in the classroom produced improved student engagement and comprehension.
Caliban's Dreams
Despite stepping away from her acting career, Halli could never fully set aside her love of creation and continued to work at local theaters, in short films, and commercials.
In 2023 Halli made the difficult decision to jump back into the theatrical world full force. Since then she has been accepted, on a full-ride scholarship, to University of Connecticut's Master of Fine Arts in Acting program. Halli will begin her studies in fall of 2024.
